About the Project

Aggieland Construction is proud to be the chosen commercial construction partner for the Texas A&M University System RELLIS Administration Complex in Bryan, Texas. The 4,000 square-foot historical restoration of the RELLIS Chapel, which was used by the U.S. Air Force during WWII and the Korean War, complimented by the new construction of the Buzz Aldrin Memorial Plaza, proved to be a great project for our construction management team. Aggieland Construction demolished the old chapel but salvaged and restored the existing wood trusses and columns using them as a historic architectural feature in the chapel sanctuary. The project included a mixture of wood and steel components designed to mirror the old chapel. The Memorial Plaza included extensive hardscape with a custom monument statue of Buzz Aldrin.
